The Spring Playlist

It’s time for the build up to summer, festival season and a general soul uplift. What a great time to start a playlist feature? Here they are, my top listens for Spring 2018. Crack open your Spotify and get ready for sunshine vibes…

I Like It | Cardi B
Because Cardi B is everything and the latino style intro to this song hooked me like THAT. Her whole Invasion of Privacy album is something special, this is a personal favourite.

Flames | David Guetta ft Sia
I love Sia eternally, and this new collab with Mr Guetta has the perfect beat for running or any sort of cardio exercise, so it’s become my gym warm up go-to. The lyrics also lend themselves really well to that…

Paradise | George Ezra
Anyone that isn’t immediately happier after listening to George Ezra is wrong. Paradise is no exception. Love you George, keep being your incurably happy self.

Nice for What | Drake
He can do very little wrong at the moment, and Drake has nailed it again with this one. The beat is something special and the lyrics are very ‘you do you’ – love it, love it a lot.

Love Lies | Khalid ft. Normani
I think Khalid’s voice was made for laid-back summer tunes, because you’ll notice him twice on this list.

Primadonna | Marina & The Diamonds
I’m feeling girl pop at the moment, and this covers off all the bases of a good pop song – it’s been in my head constantly for the past few days and is the kind of sickly-sassy that everyone needs in their lives.

Rollin | Calvin Harris + Future ft. Khalid
There’s such a chilled, catchy beat to this song, I really latched onto it since stumbling across it in a Spotify playlist. It’s so damn infectious and takes me to the beach in one hook.

I’m always on the hunt for new music (and diving into old CDs that haven’t seen daylight for years) – what have you been listening to lately?
